Research: Breakthrough for lethal cancer

Researchers have identified how the deadliest form of brain cancer, glioblastoma multiforme, protects itself from cancer-killing chemotherapy. Glioblastoma multiforme, which Senator John McCain was diagnosed with last week, has a high mortality rate, with half of all those diagnosed living for just three months. The study was conducted by researchers at the Baylor College of Medicine in Texas and published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The Sunday Herald Sun, 23 July 2017, page 19
