Despite screening being able to detect bowel cancer long before symptoms begin, only two in five Victorians undergo the test available to people over 50. More than 1300 Victorians die each year from a disease that can be easily treated in its early stages, and the Cancer Council has launched its largest-ever bowel cancer public education campaign to slash the disease’s toll.
