General: ‘It knocked the hell out of me’: Kenny diagnosed with cancer

Parramatta great Brett Kenny is digging in for the fight of his life after being diagnosed with cancer. The 56-year-old learnt last week he had non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and will undergo chemotherapy in the near future. Kenny said conquering the life-threatening disease would far outweigh any of his heroics on the football field. ‘‘It’s not like getting ready to play in a grand final or State of Origin,’’ Kenny said.
