The Sunday Territorian profiles Charlene Ericson, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer after being misdiagnosed for a year. She beat it, only to discover recently that it had reccured. Ericson shared her story of beating ovarian cancer, at just 31-years-old, for the first time in her book Battle Scars in 2015. It detailed the challenging times, the complications, the devastating impact that chemotherapy can have on a cancer patient’s life and those around them. It also detailed ways family and friends can help those in the grips of cancer treatment. The Sunday Territorian, 30 July 2017, page 24
