Supportive Care: Sick teens to get moving

Young adults battling cancer will undergo exercise as part of an ambitious research project to improve their outcomes and lessen treatment side effects. Patients aged between 15 and 20 undergoing cancer treatment will be able to participate in structured exercise programs incorporated into their cancer care under the new research program undertaken by exercise physiologist Claire Munsie, who was awarded $90,000 from the Sony Foundation’s You Can Innovate Research Award.
